Ilhan Omar Wins Reelection in Minnesota

Ilhan Omar won re-election in Minnesota's 5th District with more than 76% of the vote, Fox News reports. Two federal criminal investigations involving her went public a little over three weeks before Election Day. They look at whether she fraudulently obtained citizenship and whether her financial disclosures had discrepancies. Gateway Pundit reports agents searched her Washington-area home on October 12. She has not been charged, and nothing in the reporting says she will be.

In her victory speech she called President Trump a bigot and framed the probes as intimidation. Fine. Simple question. Nobody in Washington wants to answer it: did she address the actual questions about her citizenship and her paperwork? Calling the other guy names is a speech, not a response, and a history teacher would grade it incomplete.

Elsewhere in Minnesota, Bloomberg and CBS report Amy Klobuchar was projected to win the governor's race over Republican Lisa Demuth. Democrats had a good night in the Gopher State.
