Midterm Winners and Losers: Hegseth Danger Looms

Democrats took the House and the Senate, according to the Daily Mail, The Hill, the Daily Signal and Bloomberg, and I'm going to say it plainly: Republicans lost, and the voters sent a message. The Daily Mail notes Texas Governor Greg Abbott was among the allies who went down, and the Daily Signal says James Talarico won the Texas Senate race.

The ones who ignored the base for two years, the consultants and the leadership who promised prices would come down and then held a lot of meetings about it, don't get to act surprised. And already the winners have a to-do list. Jason Crow told the Daily Mail that pushing Pete Hegseth out of the Pentagon is his priority number one. Not groceries. Not gas. Hegseth. Mama didn't raise a fool.

The Daily Signal also reports four states passed voter ID or citizenship measures. Democrats won, and voters still said show your ID. I'll pray for them. I'll also be changing the channel.
