NYC Voters Storm Early Polls, Nearly 300,000 Ballots

Picture it: New Yorkers, a people who will not wait for a cab, a bagel, or a bus, suddenly lining up patiently to vote. The NY Post reports 294,604 city residents cast ballots between Saturday and Wednesday, per city Board of Elections data. That's a nearly 72% jump in early voting since the last midterm election, though the Post's own headline says 70%, so somebody's calculator needs a talking-to.
NBC News says millions of Americans have already voted early, and its elections director, John Lapinski, is digging through the numbers. Folks, when people get this fired up, it's because they want something done. Election Day is Nov. 3. Read it twice. It doesn't get smarter the second time.
Read the whole thing. I'll wait. I've got cattle to feed anyway.
