Blue Wave Swamps Red and Purple State Legislatures

Washington Examiner · first seen 3h ago · 2 outlets

Tuesday's midterms went badly for Republicans in statehouses and governor's races, and Washington Examiner calls it a 'sweeping rebuke to red power.' Daily Signal reports Amy Acton beat Vivek Ramaswamy 52.3% to 44.4% in Ohio, the first Democratic Ohio governor in 20 years. Nobody mends a fence that's held for twenty years, and that's the trouble with a party that quits checking its own. Republicans were set to lose trifectas in Texas, Georgia, and Iowa, while Democrats eyed Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The consultants are drafting the memo blaming the candidate, the map, and the weather, in that order, and cable is acting like it called it. That dog won't hunt. Final counts aren't settled, so there's still time for everybody to act surprised.
