Helicopter Crashes Into Biscayne Bay Near Miami

Let's be quiet for a second and get this one right. A small helicopter went down around 11 a.m. Wednesday near Nixon Beach, off Key Biscayne, Florida, according to WSVN. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded and pulled two people from the water. NBC Miami and NBC 6 South Florida report both were taken to a trauma center, where their conditions have not been disclosed. WSVN reports a third person is believed to have died, though authorities had not formally confirmed that in their initial statements. The cause is under investigation. Our prayers are with the injured, the families, and the first responders who went into the water. Investigators should give the families clear answers as soon as they can.
