Blue Tsunami Isn't What Neocons Wanted

Peggy Noonan wrote the sermon, and the neocons were sure a Democratic sweep would hand them a Republican rebirth. The Federalist argues Democrats took the House and Senate because voters are sick of an Iran war, not because they're hungry for hawks back in charge. Bless her heart, she thought the midterms were a revival tent. I run a business, so I know a price tag when I see one. Gas is up nearly 40 percent more than eight months into this war, and the folks paying it at the pump aren't reading op-eds about the GOP's soul. On immigration, voters still trusted Republicans over Democrats, 43 to 41, which tells you exactly where the base is standing. Maybe the establishment should listen to the people filling up the tank instead of the ones writing the sermons.
