Ousted Ex-Dem Likens Blue Wave to Watergate

Rep. Jeff Van Drew lost his New Jersey seat to Democrat Zach Mullock, and he called Mullock to concede before the Associated Press got around to calling it. The New Jersey Globe had Mullock at 52.1 percent to 46.9 percent at 10:24 p.m., about the time a sensible man should be thinking about bed. Van Drew says the GOP peaked at the wrong time and that the Democratic sweep is a Watergate. He blames the national landscape, and around here that's what you say when the rain gets the hay and there's nothing you could have done about it. Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then, and Democrats just happened to be standing under the right oak this year. Give the press a week and every Republican loss will be compared to Nixon.
