Philly Protest Demands Jewish-Owned Shops Leave City
Anti-Israel activist groups in Philadelphia are planning a bike protest against Jewish-owned businesses in Rittenhouse Square, set for a Sunday near the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the 1938 Nazi-led riots. The promotional material said "No business for zionists!" according to The Post, and the named targets include Mac Mart, K'Far Cafe, Huda Burger, Goldie, Dizengoff and Schlesinger's.
Running a business is hard enough without being singled out for your faith, and nobody should be targeted for it. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said the plan was deeply unsettling and cautioned that violence has no place in it. The Anti-Defamation League's Philadelphia office called the boycott antisemitic, and the NY Post quotes Marti Lieberman: "It's scary."
Keep these folks in your prayers.
