Trump Faces Hostile Congress as Lame Duck

Democrats took the House and Senate in the midterms, and the New York Times says President Trump, 80, now has two years left facing a Congress that plans to look hard at his people. Democrats intend to scrutinize Stephen Miller, Tom Homan and homeland security secretary Markwayne Mullin. Oversight in Washington means a hearing, a letter, and a press release about the letter, and none of them has ever moved a case of nails. Trump says he'll get along with Democrats unless they get destructive, has discussed the possibility of impeachment, and keeps reaching for his veto. Rep. Robert Garcia's contribution to the Times was two words: "LAWYER UP." Somebody in Washington should try making payroll once.
